Messy Church @ Fairlie Parish Church

Messy Church started at FPC at Easter 2013 and it is held
monthly - September to June,
on the third Saturday of the month at 4.00pm to 6.00pm.

It is a lively, informal, relaxed and creative time enjoyed by all
who attend, of all ages.
The average numbers are around the 40 mark although we sometimes
have nearer 70 - that shows us we must be doing something right!!
(but that does sometimes test the catering team)
…….. a warm nourishing meal is served to all who want it.
Ann’s mac and cheese is legendary!
We started Messy as a response to some research done within
the village community, by an Elder, regarding what was wanted
for ‘Church’ by the demographic that seemed to have deserted
conventional Sunday worship.

We are so glad we did……. it allows many people and families
to engage and re-engage with the church with a new experience
of worship that suits the 21st century population
and their expectations.

Craft, songs, stories and its very MESSY too and we are
complimented on it! The Messy team have gained a lot too.
It has reinvigorated our ability to change and work
together to achieve what we want for our parish.
It has brought opportunities for fellowship and worship that are
valid and engaging. It is such a privilege too.

All are welcome and are welcomed. We’d love to see you.
